Mobile SEO should always be a work in progress because there are always new things to improve. Also, technologies arrive or get discarded. One of the problems international businesses continuously need to address is identifying themselves as “local” in the eyes of the search engines. Automatic redirects and rewrites help search engines understand when you've made changes or moved pages on your site. There's a lot of misinformation online when it comes to SEO. It seems that over the past few years, everyone has become an 'SEO expert'.
So what type of website would get the highest quality ranking? According to Google, the highest quality websites have a super high-demonstrated expertise, talent, authoritativeness, or trustworthiness on the topic. Make sure the article is easy to read, even to those who are new to the topic. Articles that are easy to read will result in less bounce rates and higher conversion rates. With so many people using smartphones and tablet for their Internet search, it is imperative that you have a plan ready to compete for their business. The best keywords are ones that don’t have much competition. Try long-tail keywords — these are three- to six-word keywords that are extremely specific and tend to have less competition for them.
Do Forum Posting To Increase Brand Awareness
Avoid thin, insubstantial content, duplicate content and of course spammy-looking keyword stuffing techniques. Search engines have a limited ability to recognize images, animation, video and audio. The length of search phrases continues to grow. Back when the Internet was just an upstart, single keywords were the only thing you needed. Each webpage should have a single focus keyword and be included 1-3 times naturally in the page content. Make sure it’s also included in your page title, meta description, and H1 text assuming it fits within the parameters. If it doesn’t fit well, work towards a more general keyword.
Do an audit of your existing site
Another “old school” method of building up your backlinks is to make use of Forum Posting. It is a quick, easy and sometimes even fun way to get your links out and maybe even have someone directly click on them which is always a good thing. Currently more than half of searches account for mobile devices. Don’t overstuff your page with keywords and phrases, while shoe-horning in as many variations as possible. Instead write something a reader can genuinely engage with and enjoy or learn from. We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "On page SEO refers to the optimization of a website’s on-page elements. This includes the way a website is structured and coded, as well as its content. As a webmaster, you have complete control over your on-page elements so putting the time into getting them right is important."
Feedback driven SEO
While the page meta data (page description and keywords) are not nearly as important as they used to be, they still count. Take advantage of them by putting your keyword or phrase there. I do not think Google title and H1 tags need to exactly be the same. They need to serve the same objective not to confuse the audience of that website, but they need not be identical. Whenever I speak to people about SEO, the number one question that I get asked is, “What’s the most important factor to rank number one in Google?” SEO is not the techniques we use to get our sites to the top of Google. SEO is simply the objective of getting to the top of Google. Any technique you use to try and get more attention from Google could be considered SEO.
